Development of biocompatible polymer hydrogel for implantable biofuel cell

Madoka Takai

Abstract:

Biocompatibility of materials is important characteristics for development of medical devices, such as artificial organ, implantable bioelectronic devise.  Therefore, many researchers have been studied for advanced functional biocompatible materials. Recently conductive and flexible polymer biomaterials are looking for to invent wearable and implantable bioelectronic devices.
In the presentation, polymer hydrogel materials with suitable biocompatibility for development of biofuel cells which is energy harvesting devices, and implantable electronics devices.
